OK I admit I am pretty much a lurker.
I am new to flyfishing and only know the local haunts in Kitsap and Mason
counties. I fish a lot however I do not catch a lot of fish but I keep
trying. I was informed of your group by a member who made a post
to ROFF. I asked him a question in a personal e-mail and he suggested I
post it to this group. I have been hangin around ever since. I
really enjoy the reading because it is all pretty much local.
Now for the reports, Tues night fished
the sunset at Big Beef, there was a ton of bait (herring) but no
salmon or SRC. I went out into Hood Canal a little ways in my belly boat
but to no avail. Saw about 10 fish jump and one in shallow water by the
bridge.
Today (Thur) fished Chico creek from
9-1130. Once again I was skunked however there was about 8-10 other
flyfishers out there who caught a total of 8 fish. I saw 2 schools of fish
of about 30 fish each. They are starting to come in but not quite
yet.
