The techniques on these lakes is pretty similar.  Troll at about 2.5-3.0 knots while 
using a side planner system with the afore mentioned bucktail patterns..  Most people 
make the mistake of not trolling fast enough and not using the side planners.  

During the cool months, these fish are literally right on the surface and will move 
off to the sides as a boat approaches.  If a person doesn't use a side planner then 
this significantly reduce the amount of fish they present the fly to.  Downriggers are 
usually reserved for the Summer months when the fish hold in the thermal cline 
layer(s).
