Two years ago I purchased a used 17' Seasport with a 90hp. I had to
buy a new truck (V8), because like the Whalers, these center
console boats are heavy. They sure do go through waves (<2.5') well.
My boat is perfect for south Sound and Hood canal (was at hood canal
today!). Took it out to Westport twice this summer and it was scary
crossing the bar at high tidal exchanges!
My older 90hp (Evinrude) averages 4.5 miles/gallon.
