Seasons greetings all,

After a great day of catching chums on the Skagit a week ago Saturday I
thought of trying it again this Saturday, what a difference a week makes.
The Chums Last Saturday were on the bite big time with classic hook ups in
the corner of the mouth and the fish were in good shape with almost no
scabs. This Saturday(in the cold hard rain)it was snaggers on the majority
of the fish with only a few hook ups in the mouth but the worst of it was
the fish really decomposed in one week. Some nicer looking fish but a lot of
uglies. The highlight was a gear guy next to us that reeled in a chum that
had to be close to, if not thirty pounds. It was the largest chum I have
ever seen by far, surprisingly it was in great shape, the gear fisher had
pulled it out of the heavy current.

With all the rain lately Andy and I went to Rocky Ford Creek Yesterday to
see the sun and catch some nice rainbows,It was sunny in the morning and we
hammered the bows. The Creek is clearing up but there is still a lot of
weeds presentand breaking loose, too many infact to cast and strip
effectively so Chironomids were the best producing method. The fish were
quite fat and firm with some almost looking like footballs, small heads and
deep bodies. Does anyone know what strains of rainbow populate RFC? It
seems like multiple strains by the varience in colors and body morphology.
I have some nice pictures of fish caught in the last three weeks of chum,
steelies, and rainbows if anyone is interested I would be happy to post
them...???

Tight lines,
