Trout fishing in Washington is a wonderful thing. There are many waters that are common public knowledge such as the Yakima and its tributaries, Snoqualmie and its forks, the desert lakes, Pass lake, Spokane river and the Naches just to name a few. -- and all of these places have the potential for some serious hogs!

I'll throw this out for thought....Exploring and finding less known waters in Washington with a fishing buddy, your family or just by yourself is a great and rewarding experience. Some waters turn out to be "okay" some "not so good" and others are "excellent". On those rare occasions when you find something truly unique, a personal sanctuary if you will, you'll understand why people become upset about the possibilities of hordes of new comers destroying these wonderful places.

Now, I'm not saying that others shouldn't fish certain areas in Washington while others can. What I'm saying is take it upon yourself to explore and find your own personal jewels that you and your closest friends call your "secret waters" and keep those to yourself. Eventually any motivated fly fisher will come across a fishery (after much research and exploration) that they can call their own -- a place that's extra special to you -- keep those places close to your heart and treat them extra special!

That's my 2 cents worth....

Do the steelies ever make it down as far as Double Bluff, or would I be better advised to stick around Bush Pt./Lagoon?

Thanks!

It's during the incoming tide. Eat a Big Bubba for me!

Leland.

And let this "Yuppee" thing go!

I fished Bush Pt. this evening . . . nothing.
Talked to a couple local "flyguy's who said there are a few fish around, but nothing real hot.
I am going to be in Allyn, (Leland's landmark:  home of the Big Bubba Burger), for a few days and plan on checking out the Coho's of the Narrows.
Remind me, was it during and ebb that the brat's are snarfing on the surface?
