Hey Gary. Bamboo is great it is just the fact that I don't have the patience for the silk lines. Since they evolved together in the early days of fishing I lumped them together.
My brother took a bamboo rod in on trade that he is going to give me next time I see him. I don't recall the brand but it wasn't one of the famous rods. Seems to be one of the middle market rods that came out. Not exactly a Sears special but not a Granger either. It apparently has 3 tips and is excellant condition. I am looking forward to casting it.
