Following a long time frame as a "lurker", and then "graduating" to a participant to this list, I must say it has been fun and enlightening. This is a great group of people with a common cause. At this time of year our thoughts and prayers go out to an even greater cause than flyfishing. That cause is peace on earth and goodwill towards men. Our nation is engaged in a fight to eradicate the world of those who seek to destroy this concept. Regardless of our affiliation with religion, or not, I believe each of us can embrace the cause of peace. I pray for the safety and well being of our troops fighting in our stead. May we put the cause of peace up there ahead of flyfishing. I know that is a tall order, but we can do it.
My seasons greetings to each of you. I look forward to the coming year and the continuation of the interchange we have with each other. We will still have inheritant controversy, with diverse opinions, in the year ahead, but such is freedom and the ability to express our thoughts as we see fit. My best to you and yours in the year ahead. Perhaps we will get to know one another in meeting, with flyrod in hand, on a shore. You may even feel I am worth knowing. (grin) Roger
