Re: Ultimate Rod Assortment
I wouldn't be without my "long sticks"!
St. Croix 14' 9 wt. (casts like a 10 wt.)
Thomas & Thomas 15' 9 wt. (sweet)
Sage 13 1/2' 7 wt. (a "kick" with the dry line)
I use a Teton 12 and Abel 3 for the "long sticks"
One handers:
Lamiglass 9' 4 wt. Custom built from blank (Montana on calm days/small dries)
Sage 590 SP (Montana large fly and wind rod)
Rock Creek Special, a 8 1/2' 5 wt. 4 piece made at the Mercantile. (guide boat rod)
Sage 690 DS 6-7wt. graphite an old friend that is also a "guide boat rod"
Thomas and Thomas 10' 8 wt. (Steelhead from beaches, and bones)
Sage RPLXI 890 (bones)
Sage RPLXI 1090 (trevally)
I have 3 Teton 5's and a Teton 7, along with the Abel for the one handers.
And what do I whisper in Santa's ear?
Psssst . . . Sage XP, 10' 7 wt.
Sage RPLXI 12 wt. (yes, I have some grandiose plans)
