Richard: I got this reel at the Bass Pro Shop for coll $129, It is Conservationist 3 big arbor. Guy in front of me was buying 3 of them , he was from New York he said get it before is to late , Bauer is sue them for copying, so I took the guy for word and got one. I was moving to Wa. week later and thinking of big steelhead. Reel is beautiful designed from one stock aluminum, very nice brake knob in the middle of the spool. I noticed when I fight good fish and pulling rod sideways, Week reels are starting to bite (spools) on the frame of the reel , this reel is been performing very well, I only tested on 30" Steelhead and Salmon. Friend at work talked me about Okuma reels $60-80 so I got one , will try next summer on the summer runs with my #6 rod , reel is rated for 7/8 line I think it should be okay. If youknow about that reelperformance, model I have is is " Integrity" Well got to get back finishing shadow box full of Bass fly's for friend in Texas. Best wishes. Have you used it much? I'm guessing it's the Conservationist 3 . . . I heard Bass Pro discontinued it when Bauer sued them for copying their reel(s) so closely.
