It is no secret that winter fish moved into the Skagit, and other W. side streams, during the last high water.
Some of my gear fishing friends hit fish yesterday, so I ran up this morning and managed to  land a hatchery hen of 11 pounds or so.  There was lots of jet sled traffic about, so the word is obviously out.
I made a stop at the Rockport Store, and Dave's wife told me that he caught a 22 pound hatchery fish yesterday, on gear.  A friend was so blown away by its size that he went and got a scale.
Have any of you folks ever heard of a hatchery fish of that size before?
