I solved the problem of a catch bag accidentally for about three dollars
if I recall right. While shopping at Walmart, I found a laundry
clothes-pin bag that includes a hard finished nylon bag with grommets
and a piece of shaped wire to hang it with. After looking at it awhile,
I took the wire, laid it down so the open end of the rectangle pointed
away from me and about and inch away from the closest side of the
rectangle or the side with the short edge with the small U in the
middle, I bent both side arms out at about 20 degrees or so. (looks like
a large V with a squared off bottom with a small U in the middle of the
bottom)

I now hang the bag from around the bottom of the vise support post by
the small U shaped indentation in the short arm while inserting the two
bent sides inside the grommets and into the opening of the bag (they act
as spreaders) I catch the upper edge of the bag and voila a very
functional catch bag that looks bettr than most and almost approaches
the Dyna King Bag in looks. The hard finish makes it a cinch to empty
and best of all, it's a great value while retaining the functionality of
the high priced spread!

p.s. For all you Shad anglers - the Shad season is getting ready to hit
us here in Florida - it peaks here in late Jan and if you ever get a
chance come on down for some easy and fun fishing that won't cost you an
arm and a leg since it can be had w/o a guide or a boat.
