an often overlooked lake in Pierce county is Chambers lake on Fort lewis. 
Access can be had by signing in at the front gate. I fished it during the 
summer and early fall and consistently caught 2lb bass. The lake also has a 
natural population of cutthroat trout that can grow to a pretty good size. 
The lake also provides great perch fishing if you have a child just learning

to flyfish. Their is limited bank access and a boat or tube is needed
