I'm quite happy that my wife doesn't fish (just as she's probably 
thrilled I'm not into antiques ;-). I wouldn't be as inclined to tell 
dirty jokes, fart, drink bourbon or smoke cigars if she was along on 
a trip.

While there's a lot to be said for being together, I think that being 
apart has its rewards as well.
