This isn't really a tip on how to get your line to sink but it fits in the same vein of thought. I just bought a new Wf5FS sink tip class II low stretch line from Fenwick from www.ffo-tackle.com for 12 dollars. I wasn't sure how satisfied I would be with the line but it was too good of a deal to pass up. I cast it last week and it loaded and picked up pretty easily. I didn't have much of a problem getting it to sink either. A couple of casts and it performed like I expected. I am comparing it to my Cortland line and it functions about the same and costs forty dollars less.
