Went back yesterday and was more successful. Warm temps, light wind and
sunshine made the afternoon very enjoyable. Started in the shallows
probing the reeds with the same patterns as on Tuesday and again got
skunked. I switched tactics and moved into deeper water mooching a black
wooly bugger w/flash and caught a thick 15" bow. I also landed another
healthy 14" rainbow mooching a damsel fly nymph. Overall it was a good day
with about a half dozen LDRs and too many strikes to count. Both patterns
were equally effective. On a side note, I saw lots of mayflies along the
western shore but no fish rising.
