Couple thoughts I have on a split season. One of the things about not having a split season is that there are more people around to report poaching. I know having a split season is not going to stop that. Another one, and this is more a personal preference, is that I love to fish this string of lakes in the summertime by fishing after dark until just after sunup.  The big boys come up out of the cooler spots in the lake to feed during those hours.  As long as they are not played too long it really shouldn't be a problem.  Plus the water temp goes down, albeit not a lot, after dark compared to the daytime. Just my two cents worth.

Regarding Lenice and other quality lakes in the area don't you think it would be a good idea to a split season like they do on Jameson lake?  Has Anyone ever talked to Joe Foster or Jeff Korth in the Ephrata office about doing this?
