Bruce,

Get off at the Thorpe exit, take the road that goes
behind the Thorpe Antique Mall and Fruit Stand all the
way down the gravel road until you hit a little
parking lot. Park there, walk down the railroad
tracks to the tressel going over the river. Walk down
to the river and go either direction for as far as you
can walk basically. Can be very good there and
doesn't get fished terribly hard.

Fished the Yak yesterday in the Canyon, and had a
better day than expected. Wind wasn't blowing, decent
hatches happening all day long and traffic was
minimal.

Red nymphs worked well dead drifted deep and on the
swing as usual. 5 rainbows of 16" or thereabouts, one
beautiful 14" inch cutthroat as well using this
method.

Caddis, large terrestrials, and mayflies worked the
rest of the time. Close to grassy banks, in the
shade, or not, dead drifted, then twitched and
eventually swung and skittered across, taking fish at
each of these stages of presentation.

Heavy caddis hatch starting at around 8pm and
continuing till just after dark.
