Don't know how similar the Don Hill is to the Lavro, but I have the Lavro mini-drifter ("Lazy Drifter"). One adjustable (three position) seat midship, and a raised section that fits a cooler cum seat. Front has a standing brace. It's 11.5', rows like a dream, even in the wind on the Yak. Have done some pretty fair white water sections on the Blackfoot in MT, Bogachiel and Soleduc. Rows fine with two people, only trouble is that if the person in front is very tall, and you're in rapids, it's a bit tough to see. I use it a lot on the Yak, and it's a comfortable lake row boat as a standby to my canoe. I took it solo down the Missouri for a 5 day trip with all my gear and it was great. Really easy on and off the little trailer I use, and easy to drag up and down steep banks.

Subject: Don Hill Mini-Drifter

A buddy has offered to sell me a mini-drifter at what seems to be a very fair price; do any of you have one or have any experience with one, and what do you think of them?

Thanks!
