I spent several hours on the Tucannon today in Southeast WA.  There are some very nice fish in there...I got a rise out of several 15" to 18"  Steelies.  Brown Woolies and Stonefly nymphs are productive, along with Pheasant Tail nymphs (my favorite versioin is Skip Morris' "Skip Nymph - areal honey).  ...caught some smaller ones...the big boys come through in Winter and Spring.  Also saw two sub-adult Golden Eagles.  A real bonus!

All in all, a gorgeous day.  A little windy, but a good day to be on the stream.

Subject: Fishin report

Today I went to a honey hole on Hood Canal north of ayock point.  Did some fishin for cutts and caught about 10 in a little over 2 hours. 1 fish was about 17" and another about 15" all others 8-10".  I fished the high tide in the evening from the shore using a euphasid pattern.  I did not see any salmon go by, and that is probably good since they are still closed north of ayock point. All in all alot of fun.
