The CL is a very good rod fishing rod, and a great
rod given the price, performance, and the quality/service of Cortland behind
it.

Warrenty
I have two Cortland Rods and the are still have the the same number of
pieces as when purchased. I have to admit that I can't believe how many
expensive rod have been broken by (big) fish on this site.
I'm far from an expert caster. It seems as though the Cortland rod is
one that has been used by many. The CL series is carried by Kaufmans, so
in my mind is must be at least at least a good entry level rod..
How many have you have used this rod and what do you think?

Well got my rod repaired in One
Week!
After getting my
responding E mail from Mrs. Nancy Stout who works with Cortland Co.
she assured me with a
great response that my rod will be fixed or replaced.
Service Dept. at Cortland
did not repaired my broken rod, instead they actually replaced
it. I got a brand new rod in new case. The rod is a better
model than I owned.
I asked them if was possible to
get a longer 9' for 4 weight since I fish more lakes out of my tube
and kick boat. They
replaced it with exactly the rod I asked for with no questions
asked.
Now they might not make the
finest fly rods in the world , but their service is of First Class.
They make your sport much more
enjoyable by giving you the best service there is.
I would definitely deal with
them in the future.
Tight lines.
Les.
