I just received my overhauled #12 from Teton, and couldn't be a happier camper.
I shipped in regular UPS, they repaired it same day it was received, and I had it back in less than a week.
The well worn reel was purchased when they first came out with the big 12.
It has been used extensively, both as a spey reel, and in tropical applications (trevally), for years.
The bronze bushing had become worn, allowing a "chatter" when pulling out line.
The ratchet plate was also worn, most likely due to a burr on a spool spring . . . the results of a client leaving it on top of the jeep, and  a bit of a skid on the Sauk Road.
It appears the entire sealed drag assembly was replaced, right down to the drag knob.   The new bushing is made of a shiny silver metal, apparently harder thus longer wearing, than the old bronze bushing.
All for no charge.
