We had a subject recently about taking other people fishing and the problems when they turned out to not being as dedicated as us, thus we end up not taking them again. I would like to expand that a bit, and to be politically correct will ask this question. If you have a "partner" to whom you live with, are married to, etc., how many of our partners share the same love of fishing?

Personally, my wife doesn't really like to go fishing with me, and on the rare occasion she does, I find out I really don't accomplish much fishing as I am worried about her being left alone in camp, being left alone in the car, or not enjoying sitting on the bank with the bugs, etc. Her idea is that I need a personal hobby which just I am interested in, and she has hers which I don't participate in. That way I can go with somebody I don't have to worry about getting home on time, or being comfortable, etc. So the question is, how many of us are "lucky?" enough to have a "partner" we live with, fish with us? And on another note, what tricks can we use, if we want them to enjoy the sport as we do, to get them dedicated to the sport.

Thanks,

Roger
