Subject: RE: monic cold water lines
I have both the monic and cortland 555
clear floaters and they are both still "specialty" lines that only see the
light of day when I want to fish "really" spooky fish - the monic is "sticky"
and does not shoot well, the cortland is not as sticky, but still has abig
issue with coiling (hard to shoot those knots) and is a very large diameter
for the weight (I guess being hollow does that...)
What weight is your monic- I might
well be interested depending on the line weight and what cheap
is...
Tight lines,
Andy
someone asked about these- I got one about 2 years ago, used it one day
& would be happy to sell it to you cheap. Didn't shoot worth a
damn- cut down my distance by some 15-20 feet compared to my wulff
line. The finish was just not slick. I think courtland makes a
clear floating line now. bill
