Paul,  Try a candlefish fly.  #6 2X long hook, black thread, silver tinsel body, chartreuse calf or buck tail for top hackle, white calf or buck tail for bottom hackle, black tying thread head.  Hook length is about 1 1/2 inches, overall length of fly is about 2 inches.

Alright, fellow flyfishers.  Its that time of year when the kings are coming back into the local rivers.  What is the fly of choice for low, clear, slow  moving water near the esturaries that will entice some of these bruisers.  I don' t mind being humbled by one of these guys, but I would like the satisfaction of at least having one take me for a ride.
