Fines and citations? Only half kidding, here. .I'm going way out on a limb here, but I'll tell you about a fine I received last weekend while chukar hunting at Oak Creek. I say out on a limb because I got a citation from WDFW Enforcement for no plug in an old Model 12 pump shotgun I bought last year, and any rank amateur upland bird hunter knows you have to have a plug in your shotgun. Still, I've been hunting with doubles (SxS) the last several years and just didn't think about it. Anyway, I got the ticket, which I deserved, but I think the fine was unreasonable: $150.00. The officer who wrote me up said the fines for citations like this, as well as other minor offenses, have been going up dramatically the last couple of years. I'm guessing that's because the WDFW budget is shot.
