I didn't think it was the same as I wasn't promoting the shop as
much as I was telling Mark of an opportunity to learn and fish with a
top steelhead guide for very little money. Other shops have
steelheading classes but I don't know of any given by well-known
guides.

I see no reason why not. It was a specific answer to a specific question and was not "trolling" for business. Allen Peterson replied to a hook search question. Websites were posted for European sea-trout vacations etc.

I'm interested in learning how to steelhead and any information anyone
would like to share would be great. I've seen the humongus book by trey
combs, is that a good place to start for reading?
This is what I think I know about steelheading so far....
Where they lie:
Steelhead from what I gather lie in either pools or runs that are 3 -6
ft deep and the water moves around a walking pace. If they aren't
migrating up the river, they like to hold on the bottom.
Methods to use:
Nymphing egg patterns, nymph's etc. Fish these just like you would for
trout, get em down to the bottom.
Swinging a streamer, this I'm not so sure on. It seems that you cast
either across or quarter it down stream, throw some mends in to try and
get the fly at the bottom, follow the line with rod.
Flies to use:
Leeches, either egg sucking leaches or bright pink type leeches. Eggs,
nymphs, etc.
Tackle:
7 - 8 wt. Floating line with sinktip, various lengths and grains. Short
leaders around 12# or so.
