Leland is right. Fish where you find fish. Late January is late in the run.
In Oregon the better fishing is probably in the Wallowa R. by now and in the
Snake somewhere close to Hells Canyon Dam. Fishing the mouth of the Grande
Ronde in my experience will be less productive than further up the river.
