As per Wes's instructions in the subcription reply, I am giving up the appropriate information on another individual who will be perusing all of the discussion on taco wagons, chinese bamboo rods, boat dollies, and other such important info. My name is Kevin Lahmers and I am a long time fisher who took up flyfishing in earnest when moving to Pullman, WA from OH 5.5 years ago. I have done my best to improve my skills and seem to be getting the hang of it. I tie all my own flies and have built my own rod. My wife and I get to fish a lot in Idaho during the summer and fall, but winter and spring can be long here on the Palouse. I built the rod and have tied flies in the winter over the last couple years hoping that would satisfy the growing urge to be fishing or thinking about fishing as much as possible. It hasn't quite worked. I joined this list for a couple reasons. First, it is another potential outlet for my fishing fervor. I look forward to hearing lots of new ideas and discussion of some things that I haven't considered. The second reason is to try to find a couple places closer to home to fish. I know I could just search the web and be done, but lurking doesn't seem to be the honorable thing. I love to fish moving water, so my ideal would be a small stream or two, within a couple hours, open year round, and with at least 8" fish so that I could skip out occasionally and get my fishing fix on summer evenings or the winter days without having to make it a major trek. I can dream can't I? If any of you are busy constructing this location with your magic wands, feel free to let me know through the list or in private. Until that day, I will do my best to contribute when appropriate to the collective on this mailing list. Thanks in advance for all of your wit and wisdom.
Sincerely,
Kevin PS. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about fishing northern ID. This would most likely be my best contribution to this group. Of course there could already be a resident expert...
