Hi Dan,

Big questions. First, I would recommend buying Fly Fishing Desert and High
Arid Lakes by Steve Probasco. Also, you can find good books by Brian Chan,
and Brian Chan and Skip Morris.

2. You can and should use float tubes or boats on all of the lakes you
mentioned. Nunnally - Lenice will require a 1/4 mile hike in, so plan
accordingly.

3) Camping is available near all the above lakes. Dry Falls and Lenore: Sun
Lakes state park, Nunnally Lenice: parking lot, and Rocky Ford Parking lot.
Great places for car camping.

4) Chironomids, callibaetis, leeches, damsesls, dragon fly nymphs, and scuds
are all productive. Take chironimid pupae patterns, griffith's gnats, Adams
(size 12-14), callibaetis emergers, leech patterns, wooly buggers. Use
floating lines and intermediate sinking lines. At the end of May, you may
have good damsel fishing with dries and nymphs.

5)If it were me, I'd focus on a couple of lakes rather than running around
too much. Also, if the weather is very hot, I would consider going a bit
farther north.

6) If you tie flies, buy Philip Rowley's book of fly patterns for
stillwaters.

Good luck.

Hi Everybody,
I am new to washington flyfishers and have enjoyed what i have learned so
far.
Here's my question: My brother and I plan to fish Lake Lenice, Lake
Lenore, Nunnally and Dry Falls Lake around the end of May, 2004. What sort
of flies should we use? Where is a good place to stay in that area? Can we
use a float tube or boat on these lakes? Does time of day make a difference
in the fly choices we should be using? In short--please spill your guts
with any information that would hlp us have a successfull trip.
Thank you to anybody that can help us get prepared for this wonderful
trip.

     Dan
