My buddy and I floated yesterday afternoon from Ben Howard to the Lewis
STreet bridge. WE fished several spot that had coho surfacing and milling.
I tried purple egg sucking leech, pink clousers, white clousers, and
chartreuse flies, all the well trying to get the fly deep. MOst of the fish
I saw were next to deep rock walls in fairly deep water. I got one bump as I
swung my purple egg sucking leech. Otherwise, nada. I tried various strip
retrieves, dead drifts, and swings. Fish were there, but not biting. Lots
of rain.
