Brent,
It is the salt that is causing your problem, not your line. I've got a couple of
suggestion for you.
1. Buy some Band-Aid brand "sport" bandaids. Two of the large sized ones will take
care of whatever finger(s)are giving you trouble. The "sport" bandaids will hold up
well even when they are soaked. They stretch alot so you can get them on your finger
fairly tight. I've fished up to eight hours with them without any problems. Place the
center pad right on the spot that has been getting cut by you line. Much more flexable
then duct tape also.
2. Buy a stripping glove from a fly shop. Usually around $10-$12.00.
3. Make your own stripping glove. Buy an inexpensive pair of gloves. Cut the fingers
off the glove you don't use for stripping. Just like that, a stripping glove made in a
few minutes for around $3.00.
I hope this helps.
