I went in past Lake Wenatchee campgrounds and the state airport,am I at the wrong lake. Is there another fish lake. Are the signs before or after the Lake Wenatchee signs. I saw no activity of any other fishermen on the parts of the lake I could see from the road.

Hey Tom, this isn't an exact, but if you are on route two you'll pass some brown signs for fish lake, all you do is follow them. You end up at a some camping place, but I guess it's a public launch. It's 5 dollars.
Another note during my short time, there were tons of bait and gear
fisherman. So if you have a weak stomach for that thing, stay away from the
launch. Lots of power boats. In the morning as the boats were launching it
was a lot like those bass tournaments, powerboats speeding off to their
spots, once they all got trolling it quieted down. I always kept an eye out
on all the motorboats since it was fairly foggy.

Was out with friends on Lake Wenatchee. After reading about Fish Lake in
the
latest Northwest Fly Fishing magazine, I decided to give it a try. I had a
10:30 am brunch meeting so I got up at 6:15 am and headed out to the lake.
I
probably hit the water around 7:00. I first trolled woolery bugger for
about
20 minutes without a strike. Saw a few rises, so I switched rods to a
floating line and nymphed a pheasent tail about 5 - 6 feet under the
surface. Like a light switch the fish started hitting. I had a fish on
about
every 10 minutes, with a strike every 5. Then as soon as the soon hit the
water I was fishing everything turned off. I talked with a local fisherman
who said, the morning is the best, you can catch several dozen fish close
to
the surface until the sun hits the water. Then the fish head deep. It was
time to go, in the end I had 4 fish on 10 - 15 inches.
