I went to the Snoqualmie 7am - 11 on Saturday morning.
Air temp was about 53 degrees. There was a light rain
most of the morning. The river was low and clear. A
friend from work, Marc, who I have never fished with
came along.

I started off high-sticking/skating an October Caddis
in the slicks and seams around the Plum access (Plum's
Landing?). I could see some salmon redds in the
tailout above the Plum's. Marc spent some time
searching nearby structure for SRCs.

After a bit, we walked up river on the trail out of
the parking lot from Plum's to see what we could find.
I switched to my 5#, floating line, 9ft leader, and
black Reverse Spider. Marc tried under the trees next
to the tailout. I told him was sure his fly was going
to get nailed by an SRC under the trees. I watched him
make a couple of casts and then I walked upstream a
bit. On my first cast, I had a ~10" SRC attack my
spider. I had it on for a couple of seconds. We had a
few strikes, nothing spectacular.

We decided to go up and explore the water above the
power station. I hadn't been up that way since I was a
kid, so I thought it might be interesting. The regs
say no fishing within 50' feet of the power station,
and no fishing in the tunnel under the Falls. Marc
caught a small SRC up near the big pool under the
Falls. Marc could see some larger fish holding in a
riffle below the pool. I couldn't see anything: my
glasses kept fogging up. X-( We tried a few different
offerings with no takers.

It was nice to get out and enjoy a morning of fishing.
