Most coho are small creek spawners. They can find their way well up into
tiny creeks that are no more than a series of beaver ponds.  I recall a
creek (a tributary of the Green) that ran through  a farmer's pasture beside
the road, a creek that could be jumped across at any point, that would be
literally choked with dead coho by January.  There is a tiny creek which
drains into the Tolt that used to host substantial numbers of good-sized
coho even though there wasn't enough water in it to cover their backs.
