Yes, but it has more than made up for it in silvers and
blackmouth. They have been here since the winter.
I did a "test fishery" this morning at Lincoln Park
with no results.
Leland.
I hit the Narrows this morning from 7:15 (the gate was open) until 10:00 and got a few decent cutts. A spin fishermen had landed a nice coho just as I was walking back to my car. I saw no fish on the surface except the few that took my fly in a swirl. The Narrows just hasn't been fishing as good for cutts this year as it has a few years back.

Subject: Re: Any saltwater fishing going on?
I fished the Narrows this morning. The gate opened at 7:30, as usual, so I was a bit late into the tide. I did manage to land a nice 3-4lb. wild coho. It was a bit of overkill on the rod I was testing. I was fishing a Sage 8126 European two-hander with a Rio Outbound line. I'd guess that I hooked the fish about 80 feet out on my popper.
Steelhead? Everyone I know has either landed a fish, jumped a fish or had a pull.
Leland.
Haven't heard a report in a while and I haven't been out in Puget Sound for a few weeks either but was thinking of hitting something tomorrow morning to fish the good ebb. Any local steelhead to report for that matter? I've only been out one day and decided to wait for the river to get in better shape before venturing out again and it looks like it may be in good shape now.
Fished the S.Fork of the Snoqualmie a few days ago in the mid-afternoon and did very well with a #16 Royal Stimulator and my little 6' 3-weight bamboo rod. Got tons of small cutts and rainbows but this year got a lot of fish around 9-10" which is BIG for that little river. Usually I'll get 1 fish every trip of that size but this time out I got about a half dozen that size. Anyone else notice slightly bigger fish this year in the South or Middle Forks?
