Have you thought about trying to *educate* your boss as to why using html in email ,ight not be as good an idea as he thinks it is?
There are plenty of good reasons ranging from showing off how your boss understands the low bandwidth and portability advantages of plain text i.e. he's technically savvy, to the claims that html email is open to things such as "web bugs" that can track changes and trace the progress of messages i.e. security problems, etc. Plain text is also faster to produce and is *guaranteed* to be readable on everyone's preferred techno gadget i.e. no tech support necessary from his end to help those who can't read the message first time out. As for hyperlinks you can do this already in plain text email, to be safe enclose the link with the little "triangular end brackets"... <http://www.macsurfer.com/> I'm sure the list can come up with other suggestions.
