Hi All I made the mistake of installing the iTunes 2.0.3 update in OS X via the System Preferences. It seems to have corrupted my hard disk (thankfully repaired with Disk First Aid) and then made many apps in OS X unusable - most notably the Micro$oft ones including my newly installed Office X.
I was able to recover (mostly) by removing the iTunes helper daemon from the login systems prefs under "login items". It seems this was gumming up the works. So, be warned about this update. Perhaps you won't have the same dramas. Cheers Greg
