Hi All!
I have a little problem.
I have a client who has an external Firewire 2.5" Drive. One of the 4
partitions on it isn't being recognised. When you plug it in it gives
you the standard "Do you want to erase this" dialogue of which we
always choose" NO!"
I have tried to repair the partition with the following techniques:-
1) DiskWarrior - doesn't see the partition
2) TechTool Pro - also doesn't see the partition, and won't even see
it when you click through all the options asking to search for
missing volumes.
3) Norton's (always the last) - won't recover the volume as doesn't
see it. All the other checks don't seem to see it either.
4) Disk First Aid (a long shot) - Doesn't see it.
Apple System Profiler sees the other 3 partitions, but the 4th one
lists with an error -230 (which apparently is a Sound Input device
hardware error - from Black and Bleu,...huh???) I'm not sure where a
sound input error comes from,..it's a drive running off Firewire!!
So I am open to any suggestions anyone may have. Obviously erasing it
is the last resort.
Thanks in advance, for any light someone may have on this!!
Kind Regards
Daniel Kerr
