You can easily do this yourself. Just make sure you have a recent copy
of Apple Disk Utility (or software such as Hard Disk Toolkit). If you
have a burner you could backup your data to a few CD's prior to taking
out the existing drive.
I have a faithful old PowerPC Performa 6400 with a 1.6G hard drive.
The HD is somewhat crowded and burning a full CD is now impossible.
1. Is it possible to replace the internal HD with a drive of
greater capacity?
2. If the answer to 1. is yes, is this a favoured option?
3. What would be the likely costs: parts and installation?
