For those haven't discovered it yet, the beta version of USB Overdrive X has been posted to Versiontracker. Works just fine with my MacAlly iSweetNet scroll mouse.
Several things still have not been implemented: it currently only works with mice, accelerated scrolling does not work, and neither does active scrolling, so there's still a heap of work to do. The release notes have all the details. But at least I'm able to program my mouse again!
