Running the risk of being misunderstood I'll pose the following:
Our society needs to learn skills in conducting electronic conversations
and this particular group of computer aware individuals is in my opinion
better suited than most to lead the way by way of example.
Are you stating that we as free individuals are not free to discuss as a
group what we would like to see in our mail-box?
If we as a group of individuals cannot discuss how we would like to
interact, then this list should become a moderated one in which the
moderator decides what is appropriate.
I strongly feel that this would not be helpful in our growing electronic
world.
