I am on the ellenbrook cable and after numerous messages to iinet, i have reached exasperation point.
I have been trying to ascertain the download speed i should normally expect. I currently get between 1 to 12 kps and my lady friend who has adsl gets between 20 to 50 kps. Now, considering that I have a 256k modem, what should I receive? Iinet will only tell me that idsl and cable are different (which i keep telling them, "I know") and will not even give me a ballpark figure. another point to consider is that i have a 500 meg download limit and my friend who has adsl has a 3 gig limit, i am wondering if i am getting a new tv program (shafted) I also do not believe the Ellenbrook cable is overcrowded atm. any ideas?
