Hmm, and following that nice opening ... ;-) ... besides the controllers being funny (well, big), most website reports give the xbox good reviews.
It plays DVD's quieter than the PS2 (not hard - I've got one and they're ridiculously loud), I'm told that while HALO can be a little repeditive, it's gameplay rocks. :-) I'm not the kinda guy to judge a console by it's hardware specs though ... so give it a year and see what developers can do with it. In the meantime ... bagging it because it's Microsoft? Personally, I like the Intellimouse Explorer ...
