Found a problem with a Mac I'm working on, Heaps of screen freezes etc , especially with Micromat Tech Tool which kept quitting and would not save its report. The problems Norton says it fixed re node 183 etc are'nt fixed as they keep appearing when you run disk doctor.
Norton is giving the following errors; Norton Filesaver - "detected a problem on the disk :"Macintosh HD". There is damage to the catalogue file. (Error 216090) Would you like to repair the disk now with Norton Disk Doctor? Norton Disk Doctor is saying Major Problems Found Where ATA Bus 2, ID 0 But Norton is not managing to fix the problem. Disk First Aid is saying Problem: Invalid extent entry, 2037, 183 Test Done. Problems were found, bur Disk First Aid cannot repair them. Looks like a reinstall of operating system may called for.
