Hi: I mentioned in the posts when I was going through this trauma that the installer fix doesn't work after any version later than 10.1.3.
I got around it by (I kid you not) reformating my hard drive & installing In Design before I updated to the current version of 10. I also sent the CD with all of the books and the box to my retailer, who returned it to the supplier as defective and then shipped back to me an installation disk and packages which didn't need any special fixes...only about 30% of the In Design discs are affected by this bug (which my retailer surmised to be physical scratches on the bottom of the CD).
