Thanks everyone for your replies (apparently I was sending some blank emails yesterday too so my apologies if I seemed a bit short!!)
Since Ken has actually tried (and failed), I guess I'll consider this a "no". However, for the record, the 6200 currently has a 6 gig drive in it with no problems.
