in the file exchange control panel, where you set the file mappings, I am
trying to set jpg etc to map to photoshop 7... but the app will not show up.
Photoshop 5 shows up, but even If I click "select" to manually select
photoshop 7, it displays the photoshop 7 folder with no photoshop 7
application in it.
any theories, anyone? All other apps seem to appear as per normal...
As Photoshop 7 is a Mac OS X compatible application, it's likely that
the Photoshop 7 folder is in fact a 'package' (a folder disguised as
a file). You won't be able to browse inside the package using the
standard file dialog in the File Exchange Control panel. You could
turn the package into a standard folder, select Photoshop 7 where it
lurks therein, and then turn the folder back into a package. That
might work.
You should be able to find some package manipulation tools on VersionTracker.
Alternatively try rebuilding the desktop.
Have fun,
Shay
