Hi. Like Houston I have a problem :-(. Every so often I get my mail returned saying there is a problem with my SMTP settings . If I go away and come back sometime later without changing anything it works. I am using biege G3/300 Mac OS X Cable to telstra bigpond. Programme is Mail 1.1. My question is :- Is this my end or TELSTRA's end TIA Mac
I would be willing to bet that it's Telstra's end. There are reports on <http://www.whirlpool.net.au/> of Telstra's mail system falling over recently.
(Having just changed to getting my mail from iinet rather than cygnus, I notice that their authentication system breaks occasionally too. Sigh.)
