I am running FaxSTF X with OS X 10.2.2 on a G4/400 and have a serious
problem. FaxSTFX sends faxes perfectly but seems to have a problem
answering incoming calls. After a reboot there is no problem and it
answers after three rings as I have it set. However if I have been
connected to the Internet, which uses the same phone connection as
FaxSTF X via the Internal Modem, and disconnected, though I can send
faxes normally it no longer answers incoming calls. In both Modem
Control of FaxSTFX and Internet Connect the modem is shown as "idle".
It seems that Internet Connect is not properly relinquishing the
internal modem.
Is there a way iof checking this and forcing it to happen. I had no
such problems with OS9 and FaxSTFX's big brother FaxSTF v6.
Other user's experiences would be welcome.
PICA and Smith Micro have not yet come up with any useful answer.
