I am running an iMac on MacOS X 10.2 and OS9.2.2.
While booted up in OS9 I was checking its System Folder and found
that the folder, System Extensions(Disabled), contained one item,
Classic Support UI. Looking at Get Info, Classic Support UI was
indentified as Classic Compatibility 1.7, version 2.1 (created 8 Nov
2002, modified 8 Nov 2002).
However, in the System Folder, not wrapped up in any folder, was
another Classic Support UI exactly the same version as the one in the
System Extensions(Disabled) folder but creation and modification date
of 23 November 2002.
What might have caused this situation - one active the other disabled
and different dates? Should I bin the one in System
Extensions(Disabled)? What is its role?
